Rutinib Cream
Current U.S. ruxolitinib cream labeling specifies twice-daily topical application.
For atopic dermatitis, application is to affected areas covering up to 20% of body surface area.
For nonsegmental vitiligo, application is to affected areas covering up to 10% of body surface area.
Maximum tube-use limits also depend on age and indication.
Rutinib 5 mg
A 5 mg oral tablet is a strength, not a universal daily regimen.
For oral ruxolitinib, dosing can be determined by:
- disease
- platelet count
- treatment response
- adverse reactions
- renal function
- hepatic function
- drug interactions
For example, current U.S. JAKAFI labeling starts myelofibrosis treatment at different doses according to baseline platelet count.
Ruxotor 10 mg
The same principle applies to Ruxotor 10 mg.
The prescribed regimen may involve a 10 mg tablet as part of an indication-specific treatment plan. The number of tablets and frequency should be determined from the applicable prescription and official product information.
Renal and Hepatic Impairment
Oral ruxolitinib dosing may require modification in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. Current U.S. labeling provides specific dose modifications for these circumstances.
Dose Interruption and Reduction
Dose interruption or reduction can be necessary because of cytopenias, infection, laboratory abnormalities or other adverse reactions.
Treatment should not be adjusted independently.
