Current ruxolitinib cream labeling reports adverse reactions including:

  • application-site reactions
  • acne at the application site
  • pruritus
  • erythema
  • nasopharyngitis
  • headache
  • urinary tract infection
  • pyrexia

The exact adverse-effect profile varies by indication.

Rutinib 5 mg Side Effects

Oral ruxolitinib can produce systemic adverse effects including:

  • anemia
  • thrombocytopenia
  • neutropenia
  • infections
  • bruising or bleeding
  • dizziness
  • headache
  • weight gain
  • elevated cholesterol
  • liver-function abnormalities

The adverse-effect profile depends on disease and treatment setting.

Ruxotor 10 mg Side Effects

Ruxotor 10 mg, as an oral ruxolitinib product, requires consideration of systemic ruxolitinib adverse effects.

The presence of a 10 mg tablet does not create a separate pharmacologic safety profile from the active ingredient; however, actual risk depends on dose, exposure, disease and patient factors.

Topical vs Oral Safety

Topical administration and oral administration are not equivalent.

Systemic exposure can occur with topical treatment, but oral ruxolitinib is intentionally administered to produce systemic pharmacologic exposure.
